I actually really like what Robert Geller is doing with his label. From the very beginning he has been about traditional menswear, except he makes his clothing with a slimmer cut. Then again some would argue that the slim look is something that has always been a part of menswear. What you cannot argue is the fact that classic tailoring is meant to make your body look trim and fitted and slim. Even if you are not. It brings me great pleasure to see that Geller has partnered up with the american denim brand Levi's for his fall collection. It just makes sense to me and I'm sure it did as well to the heads at Levi's. I think his looks combine two essential ingredients of menswear, tradition and coolness. Some brands have trouble with coolness and attempt to use modern, cold, boring or black to try to attain this essence. Others use faux rock n roll or other generic musical influences to get that edge. Geller uses history and real authenticity to give his contemporary minded collections a true sense of coolness, and that my friends, is priceless. Check out more images here.
